SQUARES
In the Squares series, we see Ortiz reworking the concept of the “OARITZ” theme paintings to now square format on wooden board and canvases. These whimsical fields and shapes carry the viewer into a fantasy world he created pulling ideas and color schemes from bauhaus design and nautical flags.
The last four navy blue painting are the subtitle statement to the show COLORED using mathematical symbols.
